Baldwin EMC Poster Contest Promotes CFLs

The students in Charlice Goforth's Family Consumer Science classes at Elberta Middle School recently got the chance to show off their creative sides thanks to Baldwin EMC.
The class was part of a project organized by the electric co-op aimed at teaching kids all about compact fluorescent lights and the importance of energy efficiency. Baldwin EMC's energy marketing specialists made a presentation to the students last month, and challenged each to illustrate what they learned on posters. BEMC representatives recently returned to choose the three best entries. The winners were: first place – Darby Paddie; second place – Jessica Pohlman and Sam Santa Cruze; third place – Ansley Helms.
